Every Sparmadillo square cover is built to order, matched precisely to your spa’s measurements. Materials & Construction
Sparmadillo square spa covers are crafted from New Zealand–grown redwood, paired with 25 mm NZ wool insulation and durable, environmentally conscious materials. This combination creates a cover that’s tough, low-maintenance, and incredibly easy to live with.
Built to suit square spas up to 2.2 m, each cover is engineered for both indoor and outdoor use — even in busy, high-traffic environments. It’s an ideal upgrade from the bulky, bi-fold lids that typically come with spa pools, giving you a cleaner, easier, more user-friendly way to protect your hot tub.

How do I measure my spa for the right size?
When providing measurements, please provide the following:
- Dimensions of the outer edge of your spa
- length and width in mm for rectangular pools
- Measurements of any curves or features
- Photos or drawings of your spa pool
This information will give us the measurements that we need to accurately size your hot tub!
Do your covers fit all brands of square spas?

Are Sparmadillo covers energy-efficient?
With a waterproof black outer layer and natural NZ wool insulation, Sparmadillo square covers offer excellent heat retention and strong energy efficiency. For an extra boost, you can add a floating layer of EVA foam on the water’s surface. In our testing, a Sparmadillo cover paired with EVA foam delivers insulation performance comparable to a new, traditional spa lid with 100 mm of polystyrene without the bulk.
