The Beginning
We come up with stuff. Over the years, we’ve built the ZORB brand, exported overseas, made the odd board game and always have a creative project on the go. Sparmardillo is our latest! This is a collab between our manufacturing business, Outdoor Gravity NZ Ltd, and the team that operates ZORB.
ZORB + Sparmadillo + MAKO
Sparmadillo — the spiny-backed, roll-up spa and hot tub cover — is created and operated by the inventors of ZORB Rotorua. Never short on ideas, we were frustrated with how quickly traditional spa covers fell apart at our tourism business, how heavy they were to lift on and off, and the fact that none of the old materials were recyclable and all ended up in landfill.
Our team has been building, testing, and improving Sparmadillo since 2020. After using them daily in the elements, we’ve seen first-hand that what we make is durable, easy to use, and looks great too.
