How Our Round Spa Covers Work
Using a Sparmadillo spa cover is as easy as unclip, roll, hop in, and enjoy. Thanks to the lightweight timber battens, rolling the cover back and forward is smooth and effortless.
Instead of folding a bulky cover in half and wrestling it off the spa, the roll-up design makes opening and closing your hot tub significantly easier and far more manageable. Never battle with a heavy, dual-fold cover again, simply roll it back and enjoy getting your spa ready every time.

All of our round spa covers are custom-made for each spa or hot tub. By using exact measurements, we ensure a perfect fit that maximises heat retention and energy-efficiency. Custom fitting also means less hassle when putting the cover on or taking it off.

Materials & Construction
Sparmadillo spa covers feature New Zealand-grown redwood timber, 25mm thick NZ wool insulation, environmentally sustainable materials, and are build to last. These design and material choices mean that your Sparmadillo cover will be durable, low-maintenance, and super user-friendly!
Our spa covers can fit round, square, or rectangular spas up to 2.2m. Sparmadillo covers are designed for outdoor and indoor use in high traffic areas, making them a perfect replacement for the large, bifold covers that come with your spa pool.
Questions we get a lot:
How do I measure my spa for the right size?
When providing measurements, please provide the following:
- Dimensions of the outer edge of your spa
- length and width in mm for rectangular pools
- Diameter for circular pools
This information will give us the measurements that we need to accurately size your hot tub!
Do your covers fit all brands of round spas?
Sparmadillo covers are custom made to spa dimensions rather than specific brands. This allows us to create covers for a wide range of dimensions and spa types.
Are Sparmadillo covers energy-efficient?
Our use of black waterproof cover materials and NZ wool insulation means that energy efficiency and heat retention are very good! If you want to add more insulation, consider adding a layer of EVA foam to float on the water. Our tests show that a Sparmadillo cover combined with a layer of floating EVA form provides the same insulation as a new standard type of spa cover with 100mm thick polystyrene.
What colours are available?
